How do you build on existing leadership skills to become more inclusive, and encourage uptake in your teams?
I work with leaders to explore areas including personal commitment to EDI, challenging the wider organisation, increasing cultural awareness, being cognisant of bias and privilege, and linking EDI to organisational strategy and direction to increase buy-in.
Themes I'm helping leaders to explore include gender parity and harnessing capabilities of disabled and neurodiverse employees.
How do you ensure you recruit and retain high-calibre candidates that reflect your customer base or communities?
I can assess and help you to improve your recruiting approach to reach untapped talent routes, address under-representation, and increase your retention rates.
This may include a focus on gender balance for male-dominated roles, a more representative ethnicity balance, and the benefits of employing disabled and neurodivergent candidates (including those with ADHD and autism).
What is an ally or champion, and why is it important in the workplace? How does it benefit us personally and organisationally?
I deliver training sessions and consultancy to explore what these roles do, how they benefit us and practical steps one can take to becoming an ally or champion.
This includes practical interventions, and how to respond to and reduce bias and micro-inequities. These help to build confidence and improve the ability to navigate unfamiliar conversations.
What are equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) and why do they matter in the workplace and beyond?
My sessions cover EDI definitions, legal position, protected characteristics, and recommended future steps to implement an inclusive culture.
We explore how knowledge of these concepts with practical application can benefit us all.
If your communications aren't inclusive, how do you ensure you successfully engage all of your intended audiences? If they aren't accessible, are you unintentionally excluding people?
I can help you with training and consultancy to understand disparate audience needs, ensure your communications are fully inclusive and accessible, and have maximum impact.
Do your employees in minority or under-represented groups have an effective engagement route in your organisation?
I am experienced in setting up employee resource groups (ERGs). I provide training, consultancy and advice to help you setup new ERGs or help them to grow and improve levels of organisational engagement.
I also help ERGS to identify and articulate the link between what they do and wider organisational growth and success.
Are your current policies and processes fit for purpose and operated consistently? Are they inclusive and accessible?
I provide a range of assessment options to check for legibility, consistency, operational compliance and approach to scheduled and ad-hoc updates, and provide you with a playback report of findings and prioritised recommendations for change.
Do you experience challenges in making changes that deliver tangible business outcomes, or securing buy-in to change?
I offer a range of change-related consultancy services including process analysis and redesign, change management, stakeholder engagement, benefits management and realisation.
Are some of your meetings not achieving intended outcomes? Do you have a complex decision to make, maybe with many disparate stakeholders?
I am an experienced facilitator, offering a range of interventions that are suitable for sizes of groups from under 10 to hundreds of participants. I can help you to explore challenging and emotive topics, ensure all viewpoints are considered, and focus on achieving intended outcomes.
I can also support you in setting up and running effective and supportive mentoring and reverse mentoring programmes.
